Golf Holidays In Almancil: Planning A Week-Long Vacation

If you are a truly die-hard fan of golf, then you would probably know that Portugal is perhaps one of the best countries to play golf, especially in the winter where most others places are freezing cold! So obviously, it would be a good idea for you to plan your trip when your country is too cold to play golf! However, if you are new to planning golf trips, here are a few things that you should always keep in mind to make your trip a pleasant experience.

Trips shouldn't be too long

This should be quite an obvious one, but it would be rather troublesome for you and your family if you go for an extended trip. It would be nice to keep it short but interesting and that way you would always look forward to going out for a trip. Of course, if you love the place then by all means you should stay there for a few more days. Otherwise, a week-long trip would be good enough.

Plan for a nice hotel in a nice area

Look out for your own budget first, of course. But the best thing to do is to do some research beforehand and find out which areas are best for your vacation. There might be hotels that offer great service but located in rather inconvenient locations, so always take that into account. Going to Almancil is a good idea, but your trip would be so much better if you can find a decent hotel, located right next to a golf course. You would literally be playing like 36 holes a day and you won't even get bored of it! Obviously, you should find something for your family to do as well, unless they want to join you for golf!

Look for great courses

To put it simply, there are just too many great courses in Portugal and it might be difficult to make a decision about where to visit in Almancil. So go on the Internet now and find out which one suits you best. For amateurs, it is advised that you should look for resort courses, where the fairways are more generous, greens are a bit bigger and the speed of greens is at a more forgiving speed. However, if you are looking for a challenge and test your golf, by all means go for championship courses.
